Every manuscript is unique and requires a personal approach to editing. Developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading address different issues. I quote each project individually, although I do offer packages for all three. Rates vary depending on the scope of the project, the condition of the manuscript, the word count, and the quality of the writing. I follow industry standards for pricing based on a per word fee.

After assessing a sample of your project, I will email a contract presenting a flat-rate fee and editing deadlines. If agreeable, a deposit of 50 percent of the total fee is required to secure a spot on my editing calendar. The balance will be due upon completion of the project.

I offer packages for clients who need a comprehensive edit from manuscript development (also called “content coaching”) to final proofread. Please ask about interior formatting and full book cover design, as well as website design.

I am usually able to turn each project around within four weeks, depending on when the project arrives and the word count.

Rush projects will be charged additional fees.
